My work sits on both sides of a divide most developers pick one of: contributing frontend features to a large-scale TypeScript monorepo in production fintech, and building WordPress systems deep enough to need custom PHP plugins. Lately I have been joining the two: Next.js front-ends on Cloudflare Workers reading from headless WordPress, so editors keep the CMS they know while users get a static-fast site.
I care about the parts users never see: type safety, component reuse, graceful degradation when an API is down, and pages that stay fast on a mid-range phone.
